Mental health support
University Health Services (UHS) provides a variety of excellent mental health support services to students. Most services are free of charge, and there are a variety of ways to connect:
- For urgent/crisis mental health support – Call 608-265-5600 (option 9) to get connected immediately with an on-call provider 24/7, 365 days a year
- Getting Started – Schedule an access appointment by calling tel:608-265-5600 (option 2). This appointment helps connect students with a variety of mental health services best able to support them.
- UWill – All UW students have access to UWill, a free, flexible virtual counseling service for UW students. This is accessible 24/7 and does not require an appointment to access. Simply sign up. Appointments are typically available within 24 hours.
- Let’s Talk - free, confidential consultations with a UHS staff member. Available in-person or virtually – see schedule on website for times/locations.

- Off-Campus Housing Marketplace – UW-Madison marketplace for housing, roommates, and sublets
Legal resources
- Law for Learners – free legal advice and referrals for a variety of legal issues, ranging from housing, immigration, family issues, etc.
- Neighborhood Law Clinic – Through the Law School, free legal information and, in some cases, full legal representation for legal problems with rental housing and employment law
Accommodations and academic flexibility
