Mental health support 

University Health Services (UHS) provides a variety of excellent mental health support services to students. Most services are free of charge and there are a variety of ways to connect: 

  • For urgent/crisis mental health support – Call tel:608-265-5600 (option 9) to get connected immediately with an on-call provider 24/7, 365 days a year
  • Getting Started – Schedule an access appointment by calling tel:608-265-5600 (option 2). This appointment helps connect students with a variety of mental health services best able to support them.  
  • UWill – All UW students have access to UWill, a free, flexible virtual counseling for UW students. This is accessible 24/7 and does not require an access appointment to access. Simply sign up. Appointments are typically available within 24 hours: https://www.uhs.wisc.edu/mental-health/uwill/
